Default Strange smell when accelerating

Hi guys,

Can someone help me with this. When I accelerate hard and the engine gets up to full boost a strange smell comes through the vents. This only occurs when the heating is on and I am pretty sure it's not the clutch as this has a smell all its very own.

I'm a little worried that exhaust gases may be entering the car when exhaust pressure is at its max so any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Many thanks,

Eddie

Sounds like the smell of burning clutch. Which clutch do you have and how modified is your engine?

Scott, thanks for the reply. The motor has been chipped [ by the previous owner] and thats about it.
The clutch, which was replaced recently is stock.

Was there a passenger in the car? Sometimes under hard acceleration you can scare the crap out them - that has a tendency to smell.
