Do any of you guys know what compression ratio they used for our cars.
(Amir has not been able to dig up the records on my car yet.)
Porschemeister: Fantastic! That is the perfect use of all of those GT2 parts. I cannot wait to see and hear more about your build. That is what I really wanted to do with Frank, but did not have the wherewithall nor the *****, nor the approval from Financial.

I was told they raised the CR since a twin plug could handle more without detonation. Which is one of the reasons they are so strong down low and use low boost (relatively speaking.)

Since it was built to their spec for twin plug heads, that seems unlikely.
The pistons come at 8:1 from the factory (according to that Andial part data) so if Andial decided (after testing) that the best result for their engine was at say 8.4:1 then they could have the head builder machine the heads to suit ?

A build like yours deserves all the original GT2 parts you can get your hands on, it's a pleasure to contribute.
A couple of points,
I would source GT2 wheel inside liners, it has been a major PITA for me to have them custom made.
Also, I would do the GT2 rear subframe mounts and RS arms front and rear, these proved to be great for a good street car balance without going all out.
I had the third US set of aluminum doors it seems, now gone to another Rennlister
Finally, can you please go for a TAG ECU system, or at least have the FVD Motronic programmer come in person and do the programming on an engine dyno in the US?
Looking forward to see the final outcome.

I've got a brinks truck (not the really big ones)....don't know if I want to unload the whole thing on a motor. Wouldn't want anyone elses kit though, as the motor goes in a 964 narrow body car which is currently in the 2700 lb range and quite snappy w/the existing 993TT engine. I'm guessing the 3.8 would put it well over the top!

Porschemeister's car before...
Porschemeister,
I am in amazement. What an amazing and cool project. I drove this car before you
bought it and it was the fastest of several 993tt's in the area.
Here is my small contribution to "history"

o.k. took me a while to post those pics...flares in the process of being mounted, sunroof delete and new rear bumper (holes will be filled in), aluminum doors fitted.
