Default RUF CTR-2 Test Results

A friend gave me a copy of this review done by Auto Motor Sport in June 1997 and thought I would post the data results.

This car was a two wheel drive 520 PS 685 Nm version.

0-200, 11.6 and 330 kph
100-200, 8.0

Not too shabby even compared to todays cars, this was almost 10 years ago.

Enjoy

can you post some pics of your car and which do you enjoy driving more the 997 or the ruf? which is faster, i'd like ot hear your take on them since you are a dual owner, i am considering in the future either adding a 997tt or a 996gt2 to my arsenal.
all the best

Thanks for sharing..... Check out the 5th and 6th gear acceleration times compared to the stock - pretty gutless lower down in comparison by the looks of it, were they using K26 external w/g turbos, sure looks like it ?

SF. I am on my way to picking up the 997TT so I can't compare yet. The other problem is that the TT will be used in North America with our silly speed limits and the RUf is in Europe where it can be enjoyed. The Ruf is a great touring car, I did 3,900 km with it in 8 days in Germany and France last week. Speeds up to 290 kph and racing and pulling away from Gallardos with Tubi and a 430.

TB. I believe they did use the K26 on the 520 PS cars, mine is the 580 with hybrids.

Regarding acceleration keep in mind that in 6th the Ruf is .60 vs the stock .75 therefore quite a different place in rpm location at 60 and 80. I don't have the gears for 5th memorized and I am away from my home computer at the moment.
