Can't complain too much that's for sure. Anyway, before getting too excited about relaxed Denver, here's a pic I took about half an hour ago of old man winter knockin on the door again.

I have also seen PN 996.363.142.03 on ebay and Rennlist classified for the ET45 18x11 hollow spoke 996 TT wheel. Anyone know the difference between this one and the 996.362.142.11?
Photos look the same.

I love the looks of these rims on our 993s. Thanks for posting the pics... the ride is looking good and I love the yellow callipers!!!

Any thoughts of going with clear corners?

I am looking at a new set of Michelin PS2's.

I am running the stock 993 tt hollowspokes and 225/285 combo.

I want to go wider this time and Steve indicated 255/305.

Do they fit my wheels and will I have rubbing or other handling issues by going that wide?

Does the car steer differently with 255's in the front?

Thanks,

Sprintrider,

The widest tires you should use on the stock wheels are 235 or 245 on the front and 295 on the rear. However, you must be concerned with keeping the overall diameters of the fronts and rears fairly close. You are probably best off using the stock 225/285 sizes. Picking tires for our cars is quite a science.

Thanks for the advice. I was planning to go 235/295 at this time as many have indicated this is a good upsize while keeping things balanced front and rear. Sounds like you would concur with this.

Another consideration is to add remote tire pressure sensors by Hella I think.

Is this worthwhile or not and is this hella 400 setup a good product.

Dick, the difference is the color. This rim has a slightly darker grayish color (TT-S rims). Otherwise they are identical. Do a search on 996 TT-S rims and you will find pictures.

Danny, if you want to agressive with your tire choices, I know ViperBob, Bradford and others have run the 235/40/18 front and 315/30/18 rear setup. Should not cause any rubbing issues with the stock 996tt wheels. You don't even have to roll fenders. Rolling circumferance is identical, a perfect match. Good luck !

OK guys,

I finally moved up to the 11" rear for track wheels.... MAN I would have LOVED to get some with tyres for a decent price.... they are over $2000.00 with NO tyres here...

Ohh - and a pic!

My Simmons now reside with another Lister - Grant(hiflexaust) but man they look good....although i do like the 996 wheels too
