Water-like liquid coming from exhaust pipes??

I just moved my car out of the garage and back in to clean the garage. Anyways, after it parked I walked around it and noticed something splattered (lightly) on my leg. I look down and there is a small amount of a water-like liquid on the floor that has come from the exhaust. There is even a tiny puddle in the bottom part of the big ovals... It doesn't have a distinct smell to it??
What could this be?
After buying this car, I am totally paranoid about high-dollar repairs![Frown](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
thanks

Wow, I think I might actually be able to provide an answer to the wide array of questions posted here before one of the experts chimes in. If your car was stone cold, the substance is.....yep, you guessed it....water! On eof the by-products of the combustion process. Once the car is fully warmed up, this water is burns off well before the muffler tips. One of the reasons to always ge tyour car good and warm when you take it our for a drive.

I hate to tell you this, but most likely, it's.............water. No, the elves didin't come and fit a leaky radiator to your car overnight, it's just one of those things that when you burn a hydrocarobon fuel (like gasoline) with air, the "perfect" products of combustion are carbon dioxide and water. (Note: Due to the fact that combustion isn't always perfect, we usually mix in some unburned hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide, and oxides of nitrogen.)
What is happening is that when you first start the car, all of the exhaust plumbing is cold, so the water vapor condenses after leaving the cylinder and you will see droplets and/or a small "puddle" in or just aft of the exhaust tips. As everthing warms, the water remains in its vapor state, so it leaves the car without being seen (along with that nasty greenhouse CO2...).
Rest easy - no big $$ ahead for this issue!

I have owned this car for a week and am so stinkin' paranoid. I keep hearing about 15,000 top-end rebuilds, etc..
I probably never even noticed all this stuff on my c4s...
thanks for quick response, my pulse just went back down.

Greg, just go drive the **** out of that car
For what you didn't pay for that car, when something breaks.......worry about it then! Until that time, stop worrying and go drive

Yep, just condesation. Not a problem
Of course Dale Jr. tried that excuse too when the NASCAR officials found him cheating with jet fuel. Water, oil, alien slime, anti-matter residue. Yep he used all the potential excuses.

Just place some diapers (Pampers vs. Huggies....it's up to you though) down by the puddle area then you'll be fine.
