It's currently for sale. I've just bought a CGT and with a Manthey GT3 as well so the fabulous 993 GT2 will have to go. I hope I like the CGT as replacing the GT2 will be virtually impossible.

I wish I could buy a car like this. Even though it isn't legal in the US I would still buy it. Aren't you allowed to bring the car over if you're going to use it at the track, shows, etc.?

I think the only 993 you can bring into the US under the current Show and Display exemption is the RS. You could apply to bring in a GT2 but you would be breaking new ground.

I am currently building a GT2 based on a 96TT. I have the european front bumper with the factory GT2 spoiler lip for the front and the fender flares.

Trying to figure out the rear bumper. Is it a wider one than the regular TT bumper or is it being "adjusted" (speak bend) like the front bumper to fit the flares?

Any input is appreciated.

Tx, porschemeister

Talk us through this one........was that power oversteer or lift off ?

What sort of speed/gear ?

Did you spin, let off or hammer down ?

I have tried to attain this sort of angle under power but usually overcook it when the tyres light up - secrets please

4 or 5 years ago I used to do several track days a year at Spa. It was always a good laugh to watch one of the GT2 drivers (a silver UK registered car) who was a master at drifting the car through the corners. At La Source and Rivage 2, among others, he left his own group of very distinctive tyre marks.

This is a chap called Richard. He has sold that car but has two silver 993 GT2 road car's, one a clubsport, one a street version. Both cars are pristine. He also has a 993 GT2R factory race car, the last one built and never raced. This runs from memory around 650bhp - now that is fast at Spa!

He has quite exceptional car control, possibly the best I've seen.

Lift off oversteer in the early part of the corner TB. The easiest way to get the car to start to oversteer is to lift as you enter the corner to get the tail to swing round, then when you want to quell the slide, or want to stop further slip angle use the throttle to balance it. Once you're back on the throttle after the apex you'll get the tyres alight! Mind you would imagine it will prove tricky with the wallop of power your car has.
