About a month ago I met a guy who has a 993 Turbo SS (2 S's). I had never heard of that before - he said it had 60-80 more hp than the "regular" Turbo S and there were only 10-20 or so made in world.
Car looked sweet.
You guys ever heard of that.

I don't think it was factory. If there was such a thing as an "SS" from the factory, people would know about it.
It would be interesting to know the car's VIN and see the original sticker.
I don't suppose you took a digital of it when you saw it, did you?

It sounds like this "SS" was homegrown. Much like the 996 Turbo S' that are on eBay. Do you know what specifically was done above and beyond the "S" specification???

The car had "Turbo SS" lettering on the turbo wing.
He even told me he had the car sent in to porsche for a porsche certification??? Not exactly sure what that means - I assume they verified based on vin or something??
