C.J.

That is a sweet car. Wecome to the Big League. Wait, you're there already.

This car is gonna zapp your radar gun, so use it judiciously.

Congratulations again.

Tom,

This is a very interesting find. It is a 1995, so it actually had an 993tt engine transplant to get it to the Turbo-R stage. 2WD, like mine, but wide body. Really unique car.

Odd... I noticed it was a C2S, but didn't notice it was a 1995 car. That doesn't compute.

Ruf is asking $125k for that car.

Steve,

That means Rufus is above $125k. Wow, an appreciating asset. What a deal?

CP, thats why it caught my eye, never seen anything like that before and I hoped someone would chime in on it. It has to be a consignment car and I would suspect damn few of these exist. I know its not possible to determine values per say but do you ruf owners (Steve) think this is overpriced !

Sorry to steel the thread, you know how these morph.........perhaps CJ can comment on it as a local Dallas resident ???

Well, not to knock Rufus, but that speed yellow car is very low miles, shaved gutters, integrated Ruf cage, Ruf sports seats. and Ruf instruments... on top of the stuff I have. I really like that car. Of course, I LOVE Rufus.

Tom,

These cars come up to market so rarely that its hard to peg the value very well. That car must be Canadian (fender lights and speedo in KPH). It has those really ugly antennas on the roof, and needs Ruf pedals and Ruf Brakes. $125k may be a touch high... and its been for sale for at least a couple of months (originally asking $145k).

Thanks Steve, strikes me as real high considering its not a Ruf VIN car. I can see why you went to the lengths you did to get yours, they are beautiful indeed. Neat thing IMO about that car is its prob. seen track duty. Its owner must of had no worry: Note the quick-clips for the harness......I don't think I could bring myself to track this car like I did my twin. I am going to keep my eye on this however.

Tom,

If you asked Steve, all cars are overpriced when he is looking to buy.

But Steve is absolutely correct. These cars are so rare there are no market sales data to establish a fair price. It all comes down to how much someone wants a car with these attributes and how deep is the buyer's pocket.

The tough part is that while we on this board here are more educated on the uniqueness and attractiveness of a Ruf, we represent a minute portion of car buyers. It is not easy to find someone who will spring for such big bucks for such cars. This is a problem I will face if I need to sell my Ruf.
