Smile Ima2nr (Kevin's) new exhaust system

Kevin is too busy to post these himself, but here's the story: His car came with a very rare (one of a kind?) Ruf CTR center exhaust built for a Turbo R. Nice, but too quiet and very heavy. Kevin had his shop build a new system with some 200 Cell cats (I think). These are California CARB certified! The shop will have to relocate one of those O2 bungs to after the cats, but other than that, this system looks amazing.

Kevin promises to dyno the car after the "tune-up" with the Ruf exhaust, and then again with this new setup. I can't wait to hear this thing, and see the dyno results.

Damn, Kevin, you are awesome!!!!!

Kevin's car is a 1996. Original owner was a good friend of Alois Ruf, and the car went directly to Ruf from the Porsche showroom... this may have been the "prototype" for the Turbo Rs? It went back to Ruf a few years later for some updates. I feel a bit awkward answering these questions for Kevin, as I may be a bit inaccurate. If Kevin ever can pull his head out of his work, he can correct my errors.

CTR-2s have the center exhaust.... as far as anyone can tell, Ima2NR has the only Turbo R with the CTR-2 center exhaust. I love it.

it still has HEAT! (look at the 2nd picture in Steve's 1st post)

"this is the only NON RUF VIN car that RUF ever put a CTR2 center exhaust on"

the only issue is, i have the dyno before/ after the center exhaust and the car LOST torque everywhere... but it did breath better over 5500 RPM till readline...

hopefully this will give me the "lost" power (it was still 529hp at the crank on the RUF dyno) from before, and I'll still have the sweet center exhaust.

the car is going back together today/ tomorrow... but i feel we won't be at the dyno until next week...

i'm like a giddy school boy!!!!

That beautiful center exit exhaust, is certainly worth loosing "some" mid-range torque... As far as dyno's I am sure Woodster can lend you his more accurate "pocket dyno" aka AX22
