Question 993TT track wheels/tires help

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a good set-up?

I was pretty much decided on the BBS LM's until told that the rear wheels need a 1" spacer and the fronts are only 8" wide. Ideally I would like to fit 245/35 on 8.5 and 285/30 on 10.5. I chose the 245 up front because the tirerack doesn't list 225/40 Hoosiers.

Stock wheels are:
8 x18 - 56 and
10x18 - 40
right?

Thanks,
José

The following are BBS LM's that would work without spacers:

LM099: 8.5" x 18" - ET56
LM174: 10" x 18" - ET35

The stock wheels are:

8" x 18" - ET52
10" x 18" - ET40

Thanks Viken. Anyone else?

Updates:
BBS has e-mailed me twice and has given different sugestions as to the best fit wheel/tire combo, but no part numbers.

from FIKSE:

We recommend a 9.0x18 and 11.0x18 fitment with 245 and 305 width Hoosier tires. This fitment works very well with the AWD of your car because of it's perfect match with the stock tire diameters. We can offer a full wheel and tire package and let me know if you would like a full itemized qoute. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

from Wheel Enhancement:
Jose, for your track set-up, I'd recommend going with a set of Kinesis 3-piece forged wheels. These are available in 3 styles, the K18, K28, and K58. They are lighter than the BBS LM and can be built in the sizes you need for the Hoosiers, 8.5x18" & 10x18". We have a set of K18's in stock, the other two styles will take one week to build. I have attached some pictures for your review. Please e-mail me if you have any questions.

Both the K18's and the K28 are nice and not too pricey. No idea what the Fikse run for, but I love the idea of seeing them wrapped in those rubber sizes, plus Hoosier has these tires available in A3S03 (autocross). Is anyone running 245's & 305's?

Correction.

Hoosier does not offer the 305/30-18 in autocross trim. Only available as a road race tire.

I got the quote from Fikse today. Good thing I was sitting down...

Taz, How much were they? (I bought the car with them on it, so I don't know.) I really like them.
I washed them for the first time yesterday. That I liked not so much.

I've been offered the following:

Fikse FM-10: Perfect fit for 993 widebody (Twin Turbo, Carrera S and Carrera 4S)

8.5x17F and 11.5x17R (offsets 50.4mm F/R) with used Kumho Victoracer V700 (255F/315R). Comes with Fikse centercaps.

Now I need a guru to tell me if there are any fitment issues. I'm unsure about the offset and going down to a 17" diameter wheel. Also, the tires seem wide, especially at the front.
