Imobilizer Problem?
Having a problem starting my 993TT! Symptoms are IR opens door ok and everything appears to function properly. Clutch switch operates when depressing clutch but: the engine will not crank! The DME and starter relays functions well when I swap relays with my other TT! Bypassing pin 30 to pin 87 on the starter relay allows the engine to crank and start. The bypass is then removed and all is well! Err,was well then the jumper trick did not work any longer but the engine cranked over but did not start! As always this just came up two days before i am ready to head for Nevada for a road race
Any body have clues? Vehicle is Ruf turbo built in May 2000 and seems to have 1997 porsche parts including the updated DME relay!
