Now if there is anyone out there that wants a real garage queen 1997 tt-S and who is willing to fork over 150K I know of a black on black one with 150 delivery miles on it at sovreign.com near Boston. You don't even get a lumbar seat for your passenger at that price! Who will know as it sleeps in your garage

My two and only runs ins with a TurboS first hand gave me different impressions- Both were at different times at a local dealer here in Denver.

One time I was picking up my Artic Silver TT (black inside) from it’s 30k service and it was parked inside right next to a Turbo S exactly the same color combo. I wish I had a camera.

Overall looking at both cars side by side I actually went away liking mine better.

I thought the side scoops and the biplane wing were interesting but the clean lines of the standard turbo won out. The full carbon inside was a bit intense. Front bumper scoops are nicer though as was the full FULL leather inside.

I asked what the Turbo S was doing in the service bay and was told the turbos were being replaced because it’s hardly driven at all and a bunch of things now needed to be replaced. Cannot remember the milage but it was under 5000k.

The same dealer had another turbo S and I asked what color combo- his reply was Arena Red.

“Ok what about the inside”, I asked, again the same reply “Arena Red”.

One of the TurboS features was the special inside and outside colors and matching color combos. This was one of those.

I envisioned bruise colored 993 inside and out and just had to drive down to see what I thought was going to be a collision of money and bad taste.

To my surprise the car was drop dead beautiful. All the things that were over the top for a clean silver turbo fit right in on this color scheme.

Normally I don’t like Carbon fiber insides but the full carbon offset against everything (air vents included) covered in dark red leather was spectacular.

I still like the standard silver turbo best as a driving car but if I had time and space for a Garage Queen the Arena Red Turbo S would right up there on my list.

John, you can read about it here: <a href="http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=004189#000000" target="_blank">http://forums.rennlist.com/forums/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=3;t=004189#000000</a>

And yep, the heir to my turbo s is enroute. I've already checked out <a href="http://www.quartermidgets.com" target="_blank">http://www.quartermidgets.com</a>

Still, a check for 100K would probably have me handing over the keys, knowing I could get a turbo for 60K and 40K for some nice toys. Who knows. Maybe one of these days I'll put it on the market for kicks.
