Post Upgrade Possibilities for 450HP Factory Kit

Hi all,

as far as i read the 450hp porsche factory kit is a good and cheap option for a first power upgrade.
Is this true and if so what are the next steps to do for getting more power?
I think one could get more power in the lower and midrange with higher boost at low rev and more free-flowing cats and mufflers.

What would be the result of the 450hp kit with a cat bypass and perhaps a sport exhaust? (HP and torque)

Is there a combination with the hybrid turbos for comparable money? I think i would prefer the better low and mid of these turbos. (Ruf also uses these, don't they)

Has any one installed cat bypass with stock ecu and stock turbos? Is there a gain with everything else stock?

In the end it is so hard to make the first step in power upgrade because you always think of better options or combinations to spend your money. And its not only power its also about handling, braking and so on.
If i had the money i went over to RUF or RS-tuning here in germany. That would probably be the best way. But to expensive for me right now. <img border="0" alt="[crying]" title="" src="graemlins/crying.gif" />

Would be really cool, if one of the experts made a list with good combinations for different driver profiles, i.e. one pure street and one street/track profile and a track only one. Something like "First buy new turbos then ecu and oil cooler then the pss9 and so on..."

I messed about for a few years trying various "cheaper" methods of tuning these engines - they just don't compare. You are fortunate, at least the best tuners are local to you.

In my opinion the single most important change is the suspension.I would first install the PSS9 and RS adjustable bar setup. My second mod was an additional oilcooler. My next mod will be larger turbo's,an ECU and a larger fuel regulator. The next mod will be a larger intercooler. At the completion of the above you will have a car that will blow the doors off most anything on the road and will handle better than most of us can drive it.
Good luck and enjoy the journey!
