Post Rennlist & TracQuest Announce Expanded Relationship...

It is with a great deal of pleasure that Rennlist announces that we are expanding our existing relationship with TracQuest, and welcome TracQuest as Rennlist's newest Strategic Site Sponsor. TracQuest (http://www.tracquest.com) is renowned for providing the highest quality Driver Education events on the West Coast, and more recently, events in the Mid-East and on the East Coast. TracQuest's 2003 schedule includes events at Mid-Ohio, Watkins Glen, Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca (already occurred), Infineon Raceway (formerly Sears Point), Thunderhill and Willow Springs.

While Rennlist has worked in conjunction with TracQuest on East Coast events through the previous years, this expanded relationship assures all Rennlist site users that TracQuest will have a primary and unique position within our site, and Rennlist Members will have an opportunity to participate at any or all of the events throughout the season.

While many Rennlisters are familiar with Driver Education, TracQuest delivers a format that is substantially enhanced as compared to various independent organizations. There are three run groups at TracQuest events: Slow/Novice, Medium and Instructor/Fast. The Fast group is for instructors and very experienced drivers who would be lapping at roughly the same pace as the instructors. With approval from TracQuest, which is freely given if appropriate, participants can switch groups if they find they are in the wrong group.

As compared to other events, there is no "ego" involved in which group you're in; it's a matter of matching cars and drivers of similar speed and capability in the correct run group, thus optimizing both safety and track session lengths. It is not uncommon for participants to have up to 4 hours of track time per day. Also, passing rules are more relaxed in the advanced groups to reflect the increased experience of the drivers.

Students and new drivers are encouraged to drive at speeds at which they are comfortable, and learn the "line" and other aspects of track driving with a TracQuest instructor. Simply stated, TracQuest instructors include some of the most talented drivers from throughout the ranks of numerous Professional and Driver Education programs around the US.

Finally - as with Rennlist itself, which is a multi-Marque site including BMW, Audi and others - all types of cars are welcome at TracQuest events. Its primary objective is to focus on teaching safe driving skills "at speed" under controlled and safe conditions, regardless of what type of car a student brings to the track.

If you haven't had the opportunity to Experience a TracQuest Driver Education event, look for one close to you coming soon!!! In the next several months - look for a TracQuest event at the following tracks:

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, Mon.-Tues., April 14-15, 2003
Watkins Glen Int'l, Mon.-Tues., May 19-20, 2003
Road Atlanta, Mon.-Tues., June 2-3, 2003
Thunderhill Raceway Park, Sun.-Mon., June 29-30, 2003

Information and sign-up forms can be found at http://www.tracquest.com/. In the meantime, please help welcome Todd Serota and TracQuest as the newest Rennlist Strategic Site Sponsor!

My Best Always,

John Dunkle
