Post UNICHIP?

Anyone have any experience with the UNICHIP on the 993TT?? The 996TT guys seem to love it for its price, versatility, power gains and reversability... Thoughts?

I am about to install a fully programmable intercept computer that is one step better than a Unichip.

It has preset maps, or can be custom programmed to your car.
[by anyone, not just the dealer]
I'll let you know how it goes.

what modifications have you made to your car ?

Actually, I have done nothing... I just got it two days ago!

What sort of computer are you using?

I am very interested to see your performance gains. Are you baselining your car on a dyno and useing the dyno to tune it?

"I just got it two days ago"
....and you want more power already !
Welcome to the addiction

The computer I am to use has been developed by an Australian company involved with a lot of Porsche motorsport cars.
[more details to follow]

Yes, I am doing a standard baseline dyno run.
[hopefully mid - next week]
The computer comes with a modified set of maps, but I will have a final tune done on the dyno
- to find those last few elusive HP

I have assembled most of my modification parts already.
- K&N pod
- FVD cats
- Mille Miglia mufflers
- hyflowed K16's
- turbo S oil cooler

Obviously I will bump the boost to 1bar,
and may follow up with a custom made intercooler.

Cool, very interested to see your results!

Regarding mods, what can I say? I can't help it! I am going to do a set of mufflers soon but hold off on anything serious for awhile. Something like the UNICHIP interests me however because it is relatively cheap and is it specific to each vehicle...

You may find these wave files of interest.
I recorded 3 different mufflers on my previous 993 TT.

We offer a signal-massager that functions identically to the UNICHIP for 1/3rd the price. Same 3D mapping using load vs. RPM and it's user-programmable! It's the Intercept-Link.

Quick Reply: UNICHIP?
