Post viscous-coupling center differential

Does this fail on the 993tt ?? What would be the symptoms?

Hi:

Yessir, these do break on these cars and will give a RWD car, only.

It will feel rather unsettled on corner exit under power, and sensitive people will feel it in their hands since the front wheels get no power.

On disassembly, one finds that the viscous coupler unit has cracked apart and allowed the silicone fluid to mix with the gear oil. Voila',.......2WD car only.
