A pillar fairings
From Steve Weiner-Rennsport
Steve gave me that a while back. We installed the A pillar fairings and picked up 6-7 mph on the top end. Ruf told me not to fiddle with removing the rain gutters. I didn't since I do smoke and I just can't imagine having rain dripping in my face.
Seriously,I didn't wish to risk upsetting what is a very sweet feeling ride at high speeds. Rain gutters not removed.
Steve, your Arena Red Ruf machine is a wheel waxer and you don't smoke so why not just go for it?
Cheers

I saw a 6-7 mph bump on my old '74 RSR (with AIR bodywork and modified RSR tail) during my IMSA days with factory 935 A-pillar fairings. Same results on the 993 cars,....

Roland,
After you.
Actually, I kinda wished I had thought about his when Rufus had some dents in the roof (thanks to the trucking company that left a tow hook banging on his trip out to me) repaired. Oh well...

Hey for those of you that have the RUF a pillar inserts how are they fitted? Are the molded in or just painted and glued? My car is getting paint right now and I am wondering how to have these fitted. The paint shop is worried that if the mold it the car could flex and crack the paint. Please post some pics and give me some info, thanks!

Is your real name Naked Blonde? I regret never having gotten that car in 1/43 back when it wasn't ridiculously priced.
By the way, I have enjoyed all the posts on this subject as I too have pondered many of the same questions. Aesthetically, I believe it to be a no brainer.
