Thanks Leon. Makes perfect sense, this setup should take you to 215mph or so at redline...Very smart combo and choice, congrats...

Wow, what a rocket you have!
Do you have hydraulic or mechanic lifters?
What size front tires you have?

215 seems a little optimistic jean, the car trapped 198 at 7000rpm, i think 206 is more likely

Leon

Could be a bit off, but 198mph at 7K RPMs is what normally 285/30s would give you.. A 100RPMs visual difference or margin of error is 3mph less so it is difficult to tell visually..

295/35s are very seriously large tires that give you 5.7% more top speed because of their rolling circumference, exactly the same as if you fitted RUF's taller 6th gear ratio of 0.71 (that they used on the R Turbo and some other).

Were these tires sizes RUF's choice? Kudos to them!

You sure you've got 295/35 rear tyres ? I saw they were Corsas and I thought I saw 285s ? - I can't see any 295/35 on Pirelli web site ?

yo, toby have you been smoking dust? I wear pirelli corsa 295's for 1000pct sure on an 11" wheel, in fact you mentioned you were wearing 285 on the same width wheel hence the problem with rolling diameter

I think we should change your net name to DT...'doubting Toby'

It may amuse you, but prior to Vmax I had the guys from Event tyres (a mobile fitting company) come out and attempt to fit 295/35 PS2 Michelins on my rears - suffice to say they rubbed and I felt a tw&t sending them away without a sale, they thought I was mad

On the run up to this I researched which manufacturers did 295/35s/285/35s etc.......hence why I didn't think you could get Corsas in the 295/35 combo - I'm obviously wrong
