Danny, I recently had a ppi done by them. There were a few issues I wish had been done differently but all in all a very good shop to work with and I would reccomend them.

Squires is one of the best for earlier cars, but I have no experience with them regarding 993s. Check with Kevin, a Rennlist sponsor. I am sure that he can point you in the right direction.

Turbodan: I would recommend B&H Motorsports, Cantrell Mototrsports and Chris' German. I have used the first and last with great results. The second shop is where I'll be taking my 996TT for the PSS9 install. PSTOPPANI (sp?) from Rennlist uses the second shop for his 993TT.

Squire found 4,5 and six cylinders leaking on leakdown test 90, 89 and 40% and estimate 12k to pull engine and redo head. anyways I will see what the owner says...glad that he caught it.

If this is the black car in Bellevue at a certain high-end dealer in the area, I would walk away. At the price they are asking, you should be able to find a perfect car with ZERO issues. With those issues that the PPI discovered and the lack of books and records AND a new clutch recently, I would suspect that the car has been seriously abused. At $15-20K less than they are asking, maybe I would consider it. Be patient, there are other cars out there, you may just have to look a while longer and expand the radius of your search.

Tom, now thats a great gig. Sell your car and then get the new owner to have you "store" the car. Is he looking to buy any other cars.......?

Got it. Actually, I kicked his car out of my garage. Since I sold it to him, he refuses to take car of it, let alone wash it. It broke my heart to see it everyday, so I made him move it. My GF wants me to buy it back from him at a substantial discount. I am afraid that I would be too concerned about issues now...
