It sounds sooooooooo good.

I heard them, I told Tim he was nuts when he told me about the idea. Well I have to say a much different sound then the 996 Bypass pipes. It really does sound good not obnoxious at all.

Also Timmy the Tips look sick!!!

Tim, that's pretty cool. How about some material details.

And watch out... The unskilled, unqualified, mechanically mute shills around here will start attacking you because you didn't spend $500 on something in a catalog.

We used Mandrel 2.5 pipe. Same size as what was there

The other piece was to adjust the tail pipes. I wanted them up and in to look good

Off to the drive in Colorado Springs. Look for pictures later

Tim,

That looks GREAT! I have the Fabspeed bypasses (yes, I know.. I wasted my money... but I bought them used), and your tips look much better. Since I have the "longer" Ruf CTR rear bumper, I really need to extend the tips out a bit further as well. Anybody have any ideas for tips that look like yours (but aren't a bazillion dollars)?

Those look great! Is the tubing ceramic coated? or is that paint?
I'm getting the urge to do more welding....I've been contemplating making better ones with a better bend and larger tips recently...

Steve, this site might help, they have links to some sites for exhaust tips (there's alot more selection than there are on the web sites). www.overseas-auto.com/Home/index.html This store is in Vancouver and they carry all brands of tips, most run about a 100 CAD a piece. But you'd have to actually look at the tips to see if you like them and pictures are not good enough....

Niice Tim

What kind of cats are you using your car sounds a bit quieter than mine did when i had the bypass pipes on. if mine had sounded as yours does i might have kept them. I used the 100 cell and thatin combination with the by passpipes what extremely loud but yours sounds good

Steve: I got those on Ebay for $75 clams. And they are Porsche tips.

I need to post under side pictures, you are correct. I think there is a resonator in place on each pipe. It goes, Turbo, Cat, Some can that looks like a resonator and out (on each side). The B&B exhaust that was in there has the heat exchangers as well so maybe this was something as part of the system to???

Well today we put over 200 miles on them and they sounded great the whole time. I passed a group of motorcycles and they caught up with us at the next rest stop and they went on and on at how great it sounded when I passed them I will post pictures later.

Tim,
Sounds (and looks) absolutely terrific. I have a 964 turbo that has a B&B Tri-Flow, including headers. Your toy sounds very sinilar to my setup. Loud and raucus, but not so loud that you don't want to sit in the car for a long trip. Best of luck with the setup.
