Found this listing of a 1996 TT on eBay (not afilliated) with Sport Techno Twist wheels. While nice, I still like the old school look of the original 993 Turbo Twists.

Of the Porsche wheels on a 993, I prefer the Turbo 2 wheels, even over the OE Turbo 1 wheels that came on our cars. I'm not crazy about the "Sport Techno" look on a 993. I'm not even sure I'd like it on a 996.

My neighbor has them on his Cayenne Turbo. Much better suited there than on 993s. I still like original turbo twists on the 993--rounder and better proportioned. They are not as exaggerated as the turbo twist IIs.

Wheels are so subjective. Let's face it, we change wheels to look a little different than the other cars with stock wheels or to gain a performance advantage. I just put Sport Technos on my 993 TT & I like them. They have Porsche quality, they're hollow spoke and the rears are 11" vs. 10" for the Twists and are a better home for 295's. Only drawback is that spacers are needed on the rears. I kept the twists, so I can always go back if my mood changes (or make the next owner happy)!
