my former insurance co. went belly-up "1 Source" (or was it Source 1?)
wouldn't you know it... still 10k miles left on my policy too. Was hoping for some 'cel' action before it dumped. now, i def. need to change my 'check valve'.
btw: i think this is a sign from God that steve needs to bring waldo home...

but if you're thinkin' of going to the water-side... you may even want to go "pre-owned" certified & get the killer 100k warranty. just my 2¢.

Ignacio, que coño!
This looks like a low price. Seems like you've had enough of it, but why sell it at this price, you should be able to get this as part of a trade-in at the dealer or close to it?
Good luck.

24FPS: I did buy a CPOd 996TT. I'm picking it up this weekend.
Jean: I tried to do the trade in thing but the dealerships in the area wouldn't give close to that amount. I just sold it privately and the process went very smoothly.

Ignacio,
I'm glad this worked out for you, but sorry to see Waldo moved along. Is the new owner a Rennlister? Can you get him over here? Can you share any details? Congrats on your 996TT... how about some details on that before you disappear into the "black hole of the nether world" (water pumpers)?

Steve,
The new owner is a Pelican guy. I don't know if he frequents Rennlist or not. I sold the car for $57,000. It was less than I wanted but I can't have everything. The transaction went smoothly. After talking for a week the guy sent me a PayPal deposit on a Tuesday and the remaining amount in a wire transfer the very next day. The car was picked up that same Friday. Talk about a quick transaction. Like I said it was less than I wanted but the transaction went so smoothly that I didn't mind.
The 996TT is 6-speed in artic silver w/black full leather interior. It has a small carbon package (steering wheel, ebrake, shifter, rear center console, dash (around gauges, ac/radio, etc. but not the outside air vents), white face gauges, 6 disc CD changer and porsche crest in head rest.

Ignacio,
Please contact the buyer, and have him start frequenting this forum. It will be nice to see some fresh shots of Waldo... that car is still very special to me.
Also... how about you post a nice picture of your great sounding new car? Just because you went to the dark side... don't be a stranger.
