From Autotrader I was able to gather 33 data points of 993TTs of 1997 and 1996 vintage. Based on asking prices not taking into consideration actual condition or mods I was able to gleam the following pricing formula. Keep in mind that these are asking prices and actual transaction prices may be 5-8% lower if not more. Also, I have omitted S models and did not taken into consideration whether the car is offered by a dealership or private party. Color was not considered in this analysis.

Asking Price = 119,694.9 - (3032.57 x Age) - (0.41002 x Mileage)

Transaction Price est. range = Asking Price x (92% to 95%)

Lets see: 119,694.9 - (3032.57 x 9 (yrs old?)) - (.41002 x 13,600)
119,694.9 - 27,293.13 - 5,576.27=$86,825.50

Sounds about right for asking price...nice calculator

Let's see, for my RUF

Lets see: 119,694.9 - (3032.57 x 10 (yrs old?)) - (.41002 x 112,700)
119,694.9 - 30,326 - 46,209 = $43,160.

But the conversion was done 37,700 miles ago.
Lets see: 119,694.9 - (3032.57 x 10 (yrs old?)) - (.41002 x 37,700)
119,694.9 - 30,326 - 15,458=$73,911.

Has anyone else noticed this? 996's can be had for low 60's, does this mean a reversal in the price trend? Where do you see this going?

It's kind of like my house in CA, I could sell it for a bundle but then what would I get instead?

911/Q45, I agree. Everyone says "Sell. The City is a sellers market (although not so much anymore)." But where would I live? There are not too many places in San Francisco where I have a view of the bay, the bridge and two parking spaces.
