jps - the harnesses will fit thru the holes. i love the topline seats. The toplines are the ones that i did the groupbuy last year; they do have heat and venting. I think they are the best 2-piece sport seat ive seen without turning your car into a trackcar.
if there is enough interest, i can go back to fvd (with whom i did the group buy last year) and see what they can do for us.... that said, i have no 'dog in the hunt', but am happy to help.

That would be great, Rob. As others have mentioned, maybe they'd do a complete "kit"...seats, harnesses, HANS? Also, were they able to do the topline in 5pt? I've seen some in 4pt, but the videos I've seen on track wrecks, not to mention the harness guidebook Schroth just came out with makes me unwilling to do 4 pt static harnesses.
Also, do you have any problem with your head bonking the plastic/metal part of the seat where the harnesses slide through? Or more accurately, would my short (4' 11") wife have that problem?

I got a number of reponses both here and on Pelican, then Pelican shut it down although I sent off an e-mail requesting permission I got no response until after it was removed. I am moving ahead with my purchase and there is no minimum to buy I am now talking to Recaro directly since they are an OEM supplier to Chrysler and I am a Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealer. I prefer responses to the list rather than PM since I am not the fastest at responding to multiple e-mails, when I finalize this tomorrow I will let post here. There is no minimum to buy and I have no vested interest here.

schnele- if you can go directly to Recaro, then you dont need my help.
If going direct, why did you want to buy from Par at the start of this thread????
Id be interested to know what pricing you can get as im interested in a racing seat as well. Also as comparison, pls price out the topline b/c i know spent alot of time working on that groupbuy.
Fyi - i found recaro's customer service and quality control to be beyond awful, both for me and others in the group. I love the seats, but it was hell until they got it right.

They come in Savana code S30 and Brown code T11. I ordered some Space Grey for a 993 customer. They had one in stock in Atlanta, the other one took 6 months. None black colors are very tough. The best thing to do is just get black as most interiors have dual tone with black effect anyway. The other colors are just a pain and subject to the price at time of delivery.
And you will need other sliders to make them fit in a 993. Can they physically be mounted? Yes, but unless you are 5' 6" or shorter and never plan to wear a helmet in the car you will need the Brey Krause brackets... Trust me here...

At the time I started the thread I did not know I had access to Recaro directly, I am going to forward this link to the guys at Recaro and have them respond here if that is possible.

Oh and by the way Rob, not to be a jerk but I wasn't asking for help. I am simply trying in the spirit of Rennlist to share the best possible price with people I consider to be my peers on this list. The tone of your posts insinuates a suspicious nature. I did not know Recaro's U.S. headquarters was right here in Auburn Hills, Michigan until I was going home after a Pistons game some time after my original post and since then my original post had been languishing in part for a non-responsive Paul at PAR and a somewhat lackluster showing of interest here on Rennlist. Paul with whom I had done business with and sold my previous Turbo through, served up some crap about delivery times and communication issues with Recaro. I have since been knee deep in the EFI conversion of my 930 that has spiralled out of control in cost and time, so I am sorry I did not report immediately the developments of late.
