Talking Viper Bob is the man....he

installed my Ruf cooler, beautiful job I must add.

Some say it is good to use the aluminum crush washers in place of the copper washers supplied in the Ruf kit.

If you have a leak, you have to pretty much do the job over again...off with the bumper cover, etc. Aluminum seems to be a wee more leak resistant FWIW.

Hi Martin,

Thanks for the advice. I am still considering the DIY route - I will have to wait and see what the costing is - but i like working on my own cars and have access to a great shop and a couple of coolers..... BFWIW - i will always consider a kit at the right $$$

Thanks
Simon

Yes, but I'm not sure why the mechanic used it since I don't have any problems with the lid struts. Maybe to hold higher?? Dunno. But thanks for the tip! I'm sure they'll go dead eventually.

Thanks Bob,

Now that i have decided to make my own aux oil cooler - (NOT intercooler as above) does anyone have pics of the RUF cooler?

And any other insights? I gather all i need is the cooler itself - and smoe lines along with ????

Anyone? Steve?

Thanks in advance
Simon
