I would use at least a 235 on the front, perhaps a 245. Match that with a 295 or 305 on the rear. Now the trick is to find the aspect ratio (the second number in the tire size spec... eg 295x30x18... the "30" is the aspect ratio... the relationship of the tire section width to the height. You can juggle these to get the proper front/rear diameters. Again... look on Tire Rack specs for the overall diameters of the tires you are considering. This gets pretty tricky. Stay with it... none of these tires are cheap, so get the right ones!

I was just curious more than anything. I only use my 996TT wheels at the track and I'm not sure spacers would be a good idea. Thanks anyway for the offer.

I'm not necessarily a proponent of spacers, but I will point out that Ruf uses spacers on all of their wide-bodies cars.

235/315 Pilot Sports fit fine. Had them on my tt with the 996TT wheels (when tooling around the streets)

Was your 993TT converted to 2WD when you ran those tires? What aspect ratio were the fronts and rears? Do the overall diams match up OK for an AWD car? You also had a fully tweaked and adjustable suspension. I'm just thinking that with a more stock setup, those tires sizes would give a lot of understeer... easily corrected by massive HP and and agressive driving style. Not that I'm saying you had both of those things... well, yes I am saying you had both of those things!

AiRick, there's no 305/30/18 tires available. You've got 295/30/18 and 315/30/18(996GT2 Size) only.
