Rickard - parking brake light could be the switch is misadjusted - the switch is in the console near the base of the handle.

As to the cruise, there is no light or other indicator. You just activate by pushing the stalk toward the dash (the same direction as you would push the turn signal stalk to turn on your high beams. If it doesn't work, the first things you usually want to check are the switches down in the pedal cluster that work upon brake or clutch actuation to disengage the cruise. You might want to search the main 993 forum - there should be lots more detailed info on this there.

good luck

Parking Brake - check the bulb and the contact switch.

Cruise - push forward to set, pull back to release, up to accelerate, down to cancel, and no it is not a 996/997/boxter ie. there is no light on the dash. If it doesn't work - check the switch at the clutch pedal. It is a cool system - you engage - it works, you press the clutch - it disengages so you can change gears, and when you release the clutch it re-engages and maintains your speed at the preset speed.

I don't now yet, at least not this winter. I have to drive the car some 100 km on both roads and track before I make my decisions.

I had a trackmodified 964 Carrera (used in PCS Racing, not by me) before, but that car was hard to live with on the roads. But I am pretty sure that i will do some minor mods in the end the winter

Rassel, do you how many 993 Turbos there are in Sweden? I have heard figures between 30-40. And how many of them are black?

Hmm.... no idea actually. But I've seen most of them since 2003. So Perhaps 10-15 black ones? Perhaps more? I have to look it up. Some went to Norway though, but I heard new ones are coming in from Germany from time to time. I've seen two in Stockholm unidentified, perhaps one is yours?

The parking brake light does work so the switch at the parking brake must be broken or miss adjusted

I have tried all the things above with the cruice control and o doesn't work so i will need to check the switches at the pedals when i come home then

No, mine resist in Umeå. I talked with the guy who owns PC in Karlstad and he though it would be about 30 turbos (yearmodell 95- 98) here in Sweden. It was sold about 5-6 per year and some of them have left the country and some new has been imported.
