Default Warranty for new tires from Bridgestone?

I recently mounted new Bridgestone S02's on my turbo.
I was reading the tire "manual" and it said the tires are warrantied for 3 years after the purchase date if the trend is worn down to 2/32 inch. If so, the tire will be replaced free of charge.

Is this correct? Has anyone asked for new tires when their 993TT went thru the "defective" tires after 6-10k miles and under 3yrs?

Default slight discrepancy

The bridgestone warranty allows for replacement if the tire becomes unusable (due to a manufacturing defect) before the tread reaches 2/32's of an inch. There are actually built in indicators that show at 2/32's. If something goes wrong BEFORE these indicators appear, you can bring in your car for a new tire.
