That's about right. The PO of my car had RUF installed Ti conrods when he did the BTR conversion in August 2000, and the invoice showed the conrod item as USD $5,500 installed. Given the strength of the Euro and inflation in the last 5 years, USD$800 each is not a bad price.

RUF also has a long article about the virtue of Ti components. They listed standard conrod weight as 570gm, and the Ti conrod as 360gm. Fascinating read. I'm just glad that my car has that upgrade.

I am thinking of going with stock rods with arp rod bolts.. anyone done this with a 964 3.8 engine?

Wow .... OLD thread. I have a set of 993 Turbo rods with ARP bolts that I had specced for my rebuild. I ended up not using them and swapping them out for a set of Pauter rods. If you want my Turbo/ARP rods, let me know.

My engine builder told me he’s been using stock 930/964 conrods for some of his race cars and said they are very strong no point of going with carillo if your under 500hp.
