Default Billet BOV

Those considering fitting a bling Billet BOV or diverter valve may be interested in the opinion of RS Tuning:

This valve gives not any advantage to the engine!
The original part is working as well as the aluminium part!
There is no heating problem at the instalation point!
A lot of people saying ****!

Just an opinion, but check out their relative credentials

One thing I have never understood is why we experience no failures with the stock BOV, yet the Audi guys seem to experience many in what I believe is the same part. More boost? Higher operating temps? Not the same part?

Couple of thing to consider.

I have seen the stock Bosch diafram tear and lead to fod damage on the compressor wheel of the turbo.

The EVO valves flow more air than stock. During shifting this will help boost levels return faster after shifting.

For all of the money spent on these cars don't you think its cheap insurance?

and a further related question - is there any significant difference between the Evo and Bailey valves or is it a matter of which your favorite vendor carries?
