2wd conversion questions....
Nice to hear from you. What have you been up to? You must not spend much time on Rennlist... its been a long and interesting road. My original arena red 993TT (Waldo) was slightly modified (kinesis K28 wheels, PSS-9 suspension, Gemballa ECU, Euro front bumper, etc) and in great shape. So naturally, when an arena red Ruf Turbo R conversion (Rufus) came along, I snapped it up and sold Waldo. I have been doing some cosmetic touches to Rufus, including Ruf CTR bumpers, front and rear, Ruf steering wheel, etc. I had the headlight washer nozzles removed in the process. Rufus is fresh from the body shop. And looking great. A few small details yet to go:
What an evil influence you are. Probably a good thing you're out of my neighborhood. Yes, those 19" wheels make the Big Reds look kinda small. But it's talk like this that gets me into major trouble.
Notice I managed to stall for 11 minutes before asking my question. I'm weak. Don't pick on a weakling.
Bob... do us both a favor a mention a truly astronomical price so I can kiss this very stupid idea goodbye.
Performance products has 15"/14" 8 piston Brembos front and rear for $7500, no extra charge for yellow calipers. I already placed the order for you, just lay your AMEX on me.

You bastid. Actually... that's good news... so expensive as to be totally out of consideration. The way I figure, you just saved me $7500, so I now have an extra $7500 in my pocket. I will treat you to a cold one at Taco Temple.
Oh... we've really hijacked this thread. Sorry, to those folks interested in converting to 2WD.
Nice new ride! Still tweaking I see. As far as my news - well the Blackbird is still running great and mostly stock, I did the clutch with LWF, converted to the single belt rs setup, replaced the AC balast resistor. This winter I'm going to to the clutch slave, oil cooler balast resistor and God knows what else. Family is well, job is well - so I guess things are ok for now.
Regards,
Peter
The 315 MPSC are big and heavy. You need to be careful driving under heavy rain, I drove for 9 hours under torrential rains in Germany going to the Nurburgring, it never really scared me, but you are on the limit every second and you have to be very alert for aquaplanning.
Tramilining will be affected by the fronts rather of course, I have 265 up front and tramlining was very bad, after an excellent suspension work in Germany where they changed about everything under the car again, the car is radically changed, they reduced somewhat the front toe adjustment.
Don,
Do you have any info about the weight of the 14" Stoptech? Very interesting price indeed.
Thanks
You're just looking for some company to help rationalize your pending lunacy. Speaking as the resident lunatic... I fully understand. I'm about to spend $800 to have my calipers painted yellow, so if the Stoptechs can be had in yellow, I'll only need to paint the rears. Sheesh... saved another $400 right off the bat. Let me take a close look to see if I need pads and rotors! Oh... can I move my fronts to the rear? Do I need to worry about matching the master cylinder? And since I have $7500 in my pocket.... <slap, slap, slap> uhhhh. never mind.
