Default Boost Guage is acting up...reading .2 bar on startup...

this started about a week ago and has been intermittent. it will do one of three things:
1. Start up on .2 bar and stay there, although it will go up to .8 under accel.

2. Start up on .2 bar but go back down to zero on off throttle conditions after a few minutes and then operate normally.

3. Start up and idle at .0 and operate normally.

Temperature and moisture don't seem to have any relationship to its acting up.

Any thoughts/recommendations?

I think most of them do this after 10 years.

I get this also.

I believe the sensor may measure atmospheric pressure, which could affect the boost gauge depending on conditions?.....check your barometer prior to start up

Is this a possibility or am I talking rubbish?

Have a good weekend all.

sounds like rubbish.....
mine does this as well. I was told it's just the sensor, but has no affect on the performance of the car.

Mine does it as well. I've purchased a new boost sensor but haven't installed it yet.
