Just picked up car with new MAF sensor and was dissapointed to be able to only reach about 0.8 bar in 3rd gear blasts.
I was about to turn around and go back and have the shop refit the old sensor when suddenly, on the next run - wham 1.3 bar
It seems fine now, lots of boost.
Anyone any guess on why the initial limited boost

ECU probably sensed major component swap and had to adapt for a while until it allowed full measure.

Yes, it looked a bit different from what we pulled out, and had a different Bosch number - but it seems to work great. I'm not 100% certain (not tested enough yet) but an annoying occasional "stutter" as the ECU protected itself (under very high boost) seems to have been cured

Did you get the standard and Group buy Bosch part numbers.Sounds like a quick check is called for.
