Has anyone painted modular wheels?
I may be crazy but I am actually thinking of painting the centers of my Cargraphic 19's dark gray or black. Is this a "don't try this at home" or have some folks out there done this before? I assume I am going to remove the centers to do this. I am quite handy and have a spray rig, etc...but have never taken a modular wheel apart before.
Advice???

I painted the inside of mine and know that if your garage is VERY clean and you use the RIGHT paint it can be done. I believe the paint is the same as for Brake calipers. The guy who painted mine did this at his house. I did not see it being done but I did see the brakes drying outside in his backyard. All I know, hope it helps. Got Experience?

I would never try it, you know the whole spray can thing and a bug or dust settles on it and then your f.....d!

You've got to pull the wheel apart. The tricky part is to reseal the wheel and torque all the little bolts. Don't know what the specs are but you could ask Cargraphic. Good luck.
