Default 993TT Performance Air Intake

I understand from the Ad in the Performance Products Winter.Spring Catalog, that their Power Flow (air) Kit for $445.95, increases performance on the turbo by 17 Hp. Has anyone had experience with this?

just more air without more fuel or timming do not do much for HP

Another thought... some of the "less restrictive" intakes draw hot engine air because they remove the box. The stock system gathers cooler, denser, ambient air.

The true answer is how does it affect pressure losses through the intake system. You would need to mount a vacuum gauge after the air filter to properly test it. If it does not draw hot air and there is a lower pressure loss you will decrease the pressure ratio of the turbos. When you do this you do not draw more air but you lower the intake temp before the IC. Any time the intake temps drop the density ratio goes up for the same boost pressure resulting in more HP.

FWIW I have not tested the stock intake yet. Pressure losses below 2 psi are acceptable.
