Default Finally got one! My 97tt >>

a few qwk pics of my 97tt. it has 27k and has PSS9s, BBS rims, and a 2-yr Porsche warranty to boot! flew into nc to give it a final lookover (following a thorough PPI), and after a LONG test drive, that was it. the car drove beautifully. i didnt want to stop driving it! its being shipped here this week, but unfortunately im headed off for vacation, so it will just sit till i get back..then the fun begins!

i really appreciate the valuable info ive learned here and lk fwd to meeting some of the local members as well

qk ?: what exh do u recommend to make this car SOUND as good as it LOOKS (not TOO loud though)

congratulations!

looks nice and already has the pss9.

the car will "never" sound as good as it looks. do a search on muffler bypass and cat bypass.

at least it can sound better than stock.

Gut the stock exhausts and run 100 cell cats.

they are 18" BBS rims. i plan on going to another set of rims eventually (probably the 19" Rufs). at first (from pics), i didnt think id like the chrome BBS, but i was surprised how much i liked them when i saw the car in person.

pjb,

Congrats and welcome to RL. Was it from a dealer since you also have ext. warranty from Porsche?

Nice! Congrats!
If you go to fabspeed's web site you can hear their exhaust for the 993TT before you buy it. It's pretty loud, but it sounds sick. (and its a cool video!)
Good luck with it.

Default Excellent Car

I like the way your black TT looks wih those BBS. I usually prefer the stock wheels but those look way cool.

get fabspeed muffler bypasses immediately--clear corners wouldn't hurt either. Nice car!

very very nice.
those wheels must be the BBS RE's or BBS RS-GT's?
I think the BBS's are some of the prettiest wheels for our cars. (I'm a little biased!)
Have fun

Beautiful car. On the muffler, many people here have and like the Fabspeed Muffler Bypasses. I heard them on several cars, and put them on mine, but decided they were too loud for me. Once up and moving above 3K RMP thery're fine, but in town, at low RPM they were too loud for me. But I felt more power per the butt-o-meter, from faster turbo spool up with less back pressure. I'm keeping them as a pencil holder; who knows, I might decide to put them back on some day when my hearing deteriorates.

I changed to Fabspeed maxflows, which I like, although they are just a very slight bit louder than stock. And the tips also look much better than stock.

And to show you the value of Rennlist, I heard the bypasses on other Rennlister's cars before I bought them, and Steve (ca993twin) was kind enough to let me drive his car with them. And my maxflows also came via two rennlisters (Addison to CJ to me).
