Jeff,

I know the feelings but the Fikse looks awesome on your car I do love the distinguish look of the RUF but will probably lean towards the HREs or Fikse because of the Reverse lips.... the look that I am looking for.

The new RUF wheels for their 997 car has a reverse lip....maybe they will make a 993 fitment!

Hey adsc4s and boostid,
Are either of you gyuys near San Diego or La Jolla? I am going to be there in two weeks and would love to hook up with you guys and any other Rennlisters for some beers, coffee, whatever. I will be there Sat June 25th through Tuesday June 28th. Let me know. I would love to see and ride in some other TT's with RUF's and the suspension mods.

Robert- I invite you and any/all other rennlisters to come and enjoy some beers at my restaurant in downtown SD. It's always great to meet fellow rennlisters. I run the Rock Bottom Brewery, PM me if you want to set something up.

That sounds great Dan. I am staying in the gaslamp district. Is that close to you? I think it is. Let's see how many guys we can get together for maybe that Saturday afternoon or early evening. I get in Saturday around 3 so I would need to make it about 5 at the earliest.

adsc4s, boostid, you guys in?

Oh, and Dan, since my 993 TT will be in Nashville resting in her bed dreaming of twisty backroads, I'll be the one drinking all your beer!!!

Default Problem also....

All nice cars but does anyone have a problem with tire rub in tight fast turns. I go into corners on the canyons and have to lift do to tire rub. I dont want to raise the front or stiffen it up but...

Also, I clean all the way to the inside lip so I get the deep look. 30 Seconds? I have top take the wheels off to do a good job. what do you use and do you only clean the outside edge?

adsc4s - I hope to see you in San Diego. Please make it if you can, otherwise I will be forced to drink all of Dan's beer all by my lonesome!!

Marty,

First off, no rubbing whatsoever on my car. I have ROW M030 springs and stock shocks. You don't. I'll bet you a million dollars and a trip to Acapulco that your suspension is set slightly too aggressive and that's your problem. Can you raise the front by 1/8 of an inch? It might solve your problem. That was actually my fear about PSS-9's. My first 911 rubbed and drove me nuts. Only other thought is I bought a set of KUMHO's once for my M5 and they rubbed when no other tire did. They were the same size so I was confused. Turns out the ACTUAL tire size can actually vary from manufacturer to manufacturer even if the stated sizre on the tire is the same. Lesson learned. Your tires may be rubbing due to inaccurate measurements like KUMHO's.

Second, I clean the outer face of the wheel and the five recessed holes every time and that takes no time whatsoever. I clean the inner surface (internal center of the wheel parallel to the road) about once per month, that takes longer. I do it with the wheels on the car with a very fine microfiber towel. I spray the green stuff in there after water. I let it sit for about 30 secs and then I go to town with the microfiber towel. It does a good enough job for me. Of course if I have a reason to take the wheels off, they get the full detail treatment.

Third, you just nominated yourself to come hang out with us in San Diego on Saturday!!!! I am dying to see other 993 TT owners with RUF wheels and lowered suspensions so I can get a feel for what I can and cannot do as far as lowering the car more. It sounds like you might be slightly past the limit so it would be educating to see your car. That and I want to ride in it because of the 3.8....WHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

If nothing else, my wife is very pretty and all of you guys can look at her if you come hang out with us! :-)

Hope to see you guys next weekend.

Default nce offer...Thanks

I think I will be in Palm Springs with family, but thank you.

You know your right about the ride height. Just today I drove the car and notice how it tucks the front and rear. I never really looked but the car was parked just right and it caught my eye. So ill look into that...

As far as the 3.8. Well the main difference is just low tork but but it pulls strong all the way from 3 to 6.5. I took steve for a ride he will tell you. Its fun, I am lucky to have it.

Marty
