Does anyone know of a unit with a pop-up screen that will clear the dash/console? Has anyone done this? I'd like to have the navigation screen reasonably high rather than down by the gearstick (as in a phone console style install). Any other ideas?

Unless you are willing to make permanent modifications to your dash, the answer is no. Use the search function for pics on a few installations - this topic has been discussed many times and still comes up at least once every two weeks.

check out my post on the 993 board about a week ago.
Rumor is that a new kenwood will clear the dash as well as a certain eclipse.
Ive seen neither work in person - but if u can investigate, i would certainly like to know.
