New wheels for my TT
Well I bought new wheels for my TT they are SSR GT3's 8.5x18 front and 11.5x18 rear with SO2 A's in 225/40/18 front and 295/30/18 rears I know I could have spent more and bought possibly a higher quality wheel but I like the look of the SSR GT3 wheel and at $2500 total pkg. delivered to my door the price was attractive so I went ahead and did it they should be here within a week.

I got the wheel tire pkg. from a guy on ebay we did a 3 way confrence call with tire rack I wanted to make sure the fittment was correct I made a mistake on the price I posted above it was $2550 that included the new tires & wheels mounted and balanced with new lug nuts and shipped to my door call me if you like and I would be happy to give you his info I don't know if he has anymore at this price but it's worth a call if you are interested my # is 707-328-5819, no I didn't trade in my stock tires and wheels and I would consider selling them if someone wants them. Also wanted to mention that these are new and no factory blems or anything like that the dealer I bought them from ordered them new from Tire Rack and in the ebay add they came with Pirrelli's but he let me change to the SO2A's at no additional charge Doug

this wheel may not agree with my early sunday morning drives above the speed limit.
very scary (i wish i knew the true cause of the ssrgt3 wheels pictured in the m5 site??)
I have been warned that they are soft by someone else that owns them. could this account
for the huge differential in price between this and the "similar looking" HRE wheels (which also
do not require those awful spacers)?

I just got my Tire Rack mag. in the mail today and they still have the bankrupt SSR wheels for sale, since this is where the wheels came from I would hope they would stand behind a product they sell. I've seen pics. of some very expensive wheels that have been bent, cracked, broken etc. and I know there are thousands of happy SSR owners out there. I bought these wheels because I like the way they look and I feel confident they should hold up fine for my street car driving. Doug
