Clutch pedal behaviour

First of all I would like to say hello to every body in this forum.
In second place I want to apologise for my English (I am for Spain).
And now I have a question for you:
After selling my 964 Carrera 4 I am looking for a 993 Biturbo.
I have looked at two recently, and my question is regarding the behaviour of the clutch pedal.
In the first car the clutch was very hard with the engine not running, and soft at idle.
It started moving once the pedal was nearly released. It also had a click noise in the engine compartment while pressing the pedal.
The second car had a soft clutch even with the engine not running. It started moving with the pedal at half way.
Has the 993 Biturbo an assisted clutch that could explain this subject?. I am interested in the first car because it was in better condition and with less mileage (33.000 miles against 48.000)
Thank you for your replies.

The clutch is power assisted via the power steering pump. It has a pressure accumulator attached to the slave cylinder that retains pressure for about 15 pedal pumps, when in good shape. This part frequently fails, resulting in no assist unless the car is running. The click is just the clutch linkage working on the pressure plate.

My car had a tired/failing accumulator and caused the pedal to go firm instantly upon shut down. I replaced the accumulator and the clutch is perfect!!! Stays soft for more than 10 strokes after shut down.
