Default Need Owners Manual for my 97 993TT

The car I purchased last fall did not have one. I have attempted to order one twice from my local dealer who says Porsche does not have any. Ayone know where I can buy one? Thanks.

Dysert,
Try LA Porsche Dismantler...they have a variety of stuff available.
I bought a toolkit from them at a fairly reasonable price, not sure if they have manuals but I would guess so.

Bump, to ask: is the Turbo owner's manual different from all other 993 manuals?

Or, is there anything in the manual itself that would be helpful to a 993TT buyer?

Thanks!
Matt

For 1997, the manual is the same for both. Cover should read "911 Carrera. 911 Turbo, owner's manual". there are unique turbo elements, but much of it is common to both vehicles. Hope this helps, Les

Wow, Les, thank you! That makes my search a lot cheaper.

I'd like to get an unloved manual to read while I shop for a 993TT.

try the dealer. there is one dealer in the us that specializes in manuals, I seem to remember from enquiring when I was considering a car with no manual.

Default 993 Owners Manual

I would recommend the book by Adrian Streather, the 993 Essential Companionin place of an owners manual. It has a lot more useful information and is only around $62 from Amazon or other booksellers. Here is the book description :

The 993 version of the 911 is sometimes described as the King of Porsche". This book chronicles the development, racing history and all ownership issues of the 993 in tremendous detail. Contains absolutely everything a 993 owner needs to know. Every model and version is included. Engines, transmissions, suspension and how to improve the performance are covered as well as the fixes for common problems, includes well over one thousand photographs, this book features incredibly in-depth information about all aspects of the Porsche 993. The essential companion for the 993 owner or would-be owner.

Ever try to take one of Adrian's books on a trip???? LoL.

Cheers,
I just got this in the mail today. Simply incredible resource. It reminds me of the Bentley manuals I used to work on my E36M3, only better! It may be the best "tool" one can buy for the 993

Just got mine today too; had a leaf through the entire 'manual' and read the first 3 chapters already.
Now this is a 993 Book!
Thanks again,
