I am assuming you are talking about the black plastic pieces below the side skirts on the sides of the car below the door. So far, it holds up really well, but that is because the P.O. puts on the 3M invisible track film to protect the paint. He said he puts it on about 2-3 times per year. when the film starts to peel off or get real dirty. You peel it off, paint is good as new.
I think it really gives the side of the car a different look as it takes the color of the car closer to the ground. I like it, and it would look great on silver as well..
