Talking Is there some sort of neutral sensor in the gearbox??

Calling all 993TT and 993 wiring gurus.

Does anybody know if there is some sort of neutral sensing switch in the 993 gearbox? I've gotten conflicting answers to this question from a couple of reliable porsche mechanics.

I've never tried this before....but if the cruise control is engaged.....and somone inadvertantly knocked the car into neutral without engaging the clutch.......what would happen? I know if the clutch is engaged, the cruise control turns off. But what if the clutch is NOT engaged?

Would the engine race? Or would the the cruise control get an input that the car was in neutral?

Thanks for the help.

No neutral sensor. Nothing will happen, computer(cruise control), will sense the sudden fluctuations in rpms and will disengage the cruise control.,cheers,Sonny.
