Question TEAM MOTORSPORTS Dealership, Springfield, MO

Hey guys,
In the elusive never ending search for the right TT, I've come across one from Bob @ team motorsports. Any one have any dealings or experience with these folks? The car is Blk/Blk, Alum Pkg, 10k miles, supple, sport exhaust (aftermarket) and they are asking $82k which I think? is $5-6k too much. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Cheers,
BigApe.

If you are referring to Team Motosports in Springfield, MO I purchased an AMG Mercedes from them. It was not brand new but had 2500 miles on it. I purchased the car sight unseen and they shipped it to Arizona. The car was clean and exactly as described. I was very pleased. I do not know Bob however I would do business with them again.

seems a little high.. id offer 76-77 as black is a common color. If you really, really, love everything about it, then go lift it, but that is full offer-side pricing.

That price does seem high, however they are trying to set the market price b/c of mileage. Thats one of the lower mileage ones I've seen in awhile and if you want it your gonna pay. Dealers know the lower mile examples are becoming harder to find and people are still willing to pay.

just counter the dealer and say that lower miles here isnt a plus as the cars are meant to be driven.. im sure there a entire list of 'low miles issues' these cars have.. say you prefer a car with 20-25k miles, but you like this one. Dont let him get away with that price.. afterall, you will probably drive it, so the premium goes away. Also, black is not a special color that nobody is selling .. if you wanted a very rare color combo, things are different.

Wow, $82k

I have a 96 993TT (Black/grey) with 10.8k miles, that means my car is worth a bit more than I thought

FYI, sold my '97 993TT in August '03 w/ 20K miles for $76,000. It was silver/gray with new tires, new clutch, pulley update, etc. and in excellent condition. Somewhere between 15k to 20K miles you will probably spend a few $$$ on maintenance, but overall a great car to own. Make sure you get a PPI by a certified Porsche mechanic.

I have a friend who purchased a blk/blk from Team. He flew there to check it out and had it shipped. He was very pleased with these guys.

Good luck!
