It's been sitting for the last couple years, outside, rarely started and rarely driven. It's been examined by a mechanic I know and trust and they say it will take at least 8K to 10K to get the car running again. I know the car needs:
- New tires
- New turbos
- Engine needs to be gone through
- Some interior parts need replacing
- Paint isn't perfect but it can be polished and buffed
- Replace plugs, hoses, wires, and all fluids
It does start and will run (sorta).

Okay...since nobody else has asked...what is the story behind this car?? Why has it been sitting for years, and how did it get so neglected??

Sitting in a mall parking lot??? Was it abandoned??

The car belongs to a professional athlete. He bought it new, drove it for a while, got traded, moved around, and finally dropped it off at a Porsche dealership to be stored/sold on consignment. Long story short it just sorta sat there. The dealership guys started it every once in a while but didn't really drive it or maintain it too well.

Listen to ca993twin. Don't buy it unless you can come in UNDER market value after doing all that has to be done to restore it to stock condition. The fact that you might replace a lot of stuff anyway to do mods should be for the benefit of your pocket -- not the seller's.

Do you have any pictures of it?? Who was the athlete?

IMO, sounds like you would be buying trouble. Sitting so long, just starting and not driving, all very bad. I would think mechanicals, seals, over condition from sitting outside can become a consistent project car. Interesting story - too bad someone didn't appreciate the TT.
