Default My shocks are dead: JIC setup?? cost??

Seems my first upgrade has come soon than expected.
Was at the track and was told my shocks are dead.
A very good racer and shop owner suggested the JIC adjustable setup with RS sway bars instead of the pss-9 setup.
What should this cost for the parts and to install?
any feedback on the best way to set this up?
thanks

I just googled and found shocks for $3135 call it $4000 with sways. My guess $5200 installed ( assuming its not a custom install ) aligned and corner balanced. Are the RS sways adjustable? You may want to try the TRG sways
as they're sponsors.

Rob
Those JIC's may not just bolt-on like the PSS9's I think that's one reason the Bilsteins are popular. I didnt price the RS sways or include shipping or any taxes so the difference may not be that significant. Good luck.

I bought a complete set of JIC suspension for a 964 client and it's a great product. I bought it from Bob and the price was less than the PSS9. I can't compare the two kits since I never tried PSS9, but the handling with the JIC is amaizing. Contact Bob for price. Also the kit comes complete with bushings and adjustable camber plates. Nice product!!!

Rob,

JIC are nice..Why don't you try Moton Clubsport, they are reasonably priced and amazing quality, in a different league than PSS9. Many Rennlist sponsors sell them..try Rennsport systems, AWE tuning, Viperbob (Devek).
IMO, worth checking..

jean-
is the moton useable on the street? Im looking for a shock that can do both and not need frequent adjustment.

Rob, absolutely! that's the nice thing about them, they are 15 way adjustable (not that you need them) with remote reservoirs that you can put inside your car. You might want to get advise from one of the guys mentioned above. I know Bob has them on his car too, but with springs that are rather stones..

About $5k iirc.

Thing is is your car mostly street with some track? Or is it track only? JICs are a decent compromise between pss9 and motons. That said, I would have gone with Motons but only because my car is pretty much a track car these days.

Firstly, thank you all for the help.. i really need shocks .. the car is not stable and i have no confidence. i spun it at limerock on the left hander (everything is fine .. plently of grass to slide) .but the rear was wiggly all day

Ive heard the JICs need more regular adjustment .. which is not good for me.. i dont have the luxury of having the car inthe shop often.
Car is for weekend street driving and about 8-10 track days inthe intermedate group
I got a quote of $6800 for JIC installed which made me fall off my chair!!!!

Adjustment how? My collars come loose but those are fixable. The one problem I had was that the drop link mounts would keep tearing off. TonyC (www.tcdesignfab.com) fabbed up some mounts for me and they have been rock solid since.
