Good day everybody. I' m after a 993 TT 5/98 with 7000 km only. I would like to know if retrofit of such a kit is possible. Besides does Porsche reveal performances of 993 so fitted as it does for 996 with x50 option?
thanks for any reply
cheers

SM,
For the row(not US) 993 Turbo S, the acceleration is still 4,5 sec 0 - 100 km/h and the topspeed
is 300 km/h instead of 290 km/h for 408 cv version, these are factory figures for the "S" version,
so my guess is that the figures for the 993 Turbo with the 450-kit would be about
the same or identical.

However, I'd say that the 0-100 is about the same as previous, since the power shows itself a little bit later.

Rassel,
The thing is that the Turbo "S" in 993 version were packed with just about every option that were
available on the optionslist (except for the 92 liter tank). So if one didn´t order just about everything
for the "standard" Turbo the weight for the "S" would be a little bit more or about the same.
But if you take look a the 964 Turbo S (European version), that was a true lightweight car even more so than the 964 RS.
And finding any offical figures for the 430 & 450 power upgrades are hard if not impossible, the only
thing I found were the facts for the "S" 450-version.

The 450 kit reduced my 5-150 MPH time from 22 seconds to 19 seconds. The Ruf Turbo R brought it down to 15 seconds. All on CA 91 octane.
In my opinion, the 450 kit is not a big difference from stock. It only keeps the power from falling-off above 6000 RPM.
