I know of only a few US Spec ones. Porsche AG doesn't share that type of options data (if they even recorded it) with the public.

The dealer I got mine from thought I was absolutely nuts to order it that way. They must have asked me a dozen times if I was sure and made me confirm it in writing. I would guess the total would be under 20.

I bought mine with 4500 miles. I thought it was odd not have a sunroof. I don't have a clue as to how many were made though. I miss it from time to time.

Its funny but in AU you werent able to delete the sunroof as far as i know...... must've had something to do with the steering wheel being on the RIGHT side of the car!!!!!!!

I was curious ... I suspect you are right that the numbers are quite low ... I know in the states when ordering them the sales people will really discourage the delete of the sunroof...

The sunroof consumes some head clearance which can be a problem for taller drivers wearing helmets.

Also I assume it weakens the torsional strength of the whole roof, and adds weight.

I had 3 reasons to order the sunroof delete option:
#1- 1.5" more headroom. I have a tall sitting height and needed the clearance for a helmet.
#2- I like the cleaner look of the roof without the sunroof seam.
#3- The sunroof adds about 30lbs to the very highest point of the car effecting the center of gravity significantly.

You forgot one more. The sunroof opening takes away a bit of structural rigidity. That's why GT2/GT3 cars do not come with a sunroof option.

That might be why I've never had the squeaky windshield problem that many are plagued with.
