Kevin, as you know I sell the Fabspeeds.. I believe FVD is a GHL these days, even though they still have a pic of the Fabspeed on their website from a time that they were a distributor. I can bring a set home if you are going to be around the Los Altos area over the weekend and want to take a look at them. I'll also be doing a 60K service on a friends C4S on Saturday so I will certainly be around....

I've heard good things about both but good luck trying to actually BUY anything from Fabspeed.
They promised me the 996 mufflers by August 13th. Every time I called after that it was "They'll be ready in a week." That week still hasn't come.

I had the fabspeeds on my car, absolutley loved them, sounded real nice when you were on it, not too bad when you were off.

After install, I would only drive with the windows down and the sunroof open.

Our bypasses are niether GHL or Fabspeed. They are made in Germany and brought over... I have been on the website guys **** to change the pic, but obviously that hasn't been done yet .
Let me know if you need anything,
Evan

Default GHL?

Kevin,

I like my GHL muffler bypasses. Well-built. Allowed me to retain the factory large oval tips.

To get those, you open up your wallet for about $600, THEN you worry about the bypass. The Fabspeed is an integrated bypass and new large tip.

Kevin,

Bob is right about the high cost of new factory large oval tips. A used pair is currently available on ebay for $300, but they look a little beaten up.

If you are really interested in the large oval look, you may be able to find a used set through a Rennlister.

I have just emailed Fabspeed about the availability of the muffler by-pass. Will see if they have any in stock before the order is placed and how long they say its will take.

Just buy them from ViperBob ... they are cheaper, IIRC, and he has them in stock.
