993 Turbo Advice Needed
Hi everyone!
I'm looking at purchasing a 993 Turbo, local to me (Ontario, Canada) and just need the general consensus on what I should pay for this car. Here are some key facts:
1997
Arena Red on Black
Manual
13,000 miles
Has not been serviced in years. It's a garage queen. The closest dealer is 650 km away and therefore I could get a PPI done but from a non Porsche dealer. It's simply not an option from a Porsche dealer. Body and interior are in superb condition, it's an investment grade car based on miles and cosmetic condition.
Car overall is a garage queen, 2 owner car, it's been in the same family for 20 plus years. Ifs a super stunning example.
Car starts and supposedly drives fantastic. I will verify this in a months time.
Questions:
1) truly what do you think about the ask price?
2) with the assumption it needs a major service done to it, what should I consider budgeting A.k.a. how much of a price drop should I ask based on the complete lack of service done to the car ?
Truly appreciate your help

Pay whatever it's worth to you - will you drive it or polish it?
These cars could vaporise money when they were much closer to new. Personally I'd ignore the milage and buy on condition. Expect to drop $10K on a major refresh, more, much more if it has a leaky engine, turbos power steering etc.

They are 30 years old. I've restored a few with low miles. Taking the suspenion apart you'll feel the joints. They can move sloppy. Shocks can leak. Oil lines get very hard and leak.
Same with engine gaskets. They're old and can leak once you start driving the car hard.
If the car is kept in a conditioned garage and driven occasional then you should be good on many areas.
Oh and ... Injector cleaning. How old is the oil? Tire age? Climate control motors and fans? Moisture damage to computers under seats. Check ground points.
Eight way seats and stick. Many switch over to 4way seats. Sport seats are 4 way.
Fuel tank screen. Pull fuel sending unit to see if it's stained with bad fuel at one time.
Then up date the turbo lines and check valves.
